The first track from FRED FALKE we have ever listened to was INTRO in September 2000. I remember this bomb being dropped in World Premiere by then French radio superstar MAX in his daily show LE STAR SYSTEM. The following morning, everyone who was into House music was already harassing DJ Shops to get it :D Everybody had to get his hands on this insane anthem.

Founded in Stockholm in 2011, Local Talk is run by Mats Karlsson aka Mad Mats and Tobias Lidström Tooli. Obviously those two Swedish deejays share the same profound love for Classic and Old-school House Music.

For this SPOT ON, we are going back in time in 1996, back to the roots of the FRENCH HOUSE MUSIC scene with the label CRYDAMOURE. GUY MANUEL DE HOMEM CHRISTO, one half of DAFT PUNK, founded the label with his friend ERIC ‘RICO’ CHEDEVILLE at first to release their own productions under their band name LE KNIGHT CLUB.

Berlin based artist Frank Timm aka Sound Stream has released a respectable amount of A-grade Underground House tunes. Operating under the names Sound Hack, Smith n’Hack and SSOL, Sound Stream always places quality over quantity in a market where DJ-stores are overfilled with soulless records. Frank Timm set his record label in 1999 to release his own music. With only five EP’s in ten years Sound Stream gained major respect and support from the House Scene and especially in 2008 thanks to his gorgeous Underground House hit Live Goes On.

During the last decade, Japan based artist Hirofumi Goto aka Rondenion has produced a fairly high number of tunes. Rondenion released records on big indie labels around the world such as Chicago’s Still Music or Amsterdamer Rush Hour Records that helped gaining major support from worldwide DeeJays.

Berlin based producer Max Graef is one of the most gifted up-and-coming artist of the Deep House scene. The twenty one years old German talent made his debut in 2013 on Tartelet Records and on Melbourne Deepcast with a very nice release entitled The Love Tapes. Max reached a wider audience with his now classic Deep House Broken Keyboard EP released on Detroit Swindles‘ Label Heist in October 2013.

The first time we saw PHIL WEEKS live was in 2004 at the TERRASSA PARTY in Paris. He was opening for Chicago House Legend DJ SNEAK. I remember a super fat set which drove everybody insane. I also remember that the party started at 8:00pm and finished at 6:00am. It was a long, long House music run in a hot summer night. The following year he was there again, this time opening for DERRICK CARTER and once again the night was wicked and memorable.

THOMAS BANGALTER founded the label in 1995 for the purpose of releasing independent records parallel to the DAFT PUNK‘s project without any compromise. If you listen to DAFT PUNK‘s early work, live acts and interviews, you will understand that this label was really Thomas’ playground…
