Soulfuric Recordings is probably one of the most renowned labels in the soulful House Music scene and has released material from highly acclaimed artists such as Urban Blues Project, Copyright, Hardsoul, John Julius Knight, Ron Carroll to name a few.

Owned by Marc Pomeroy and Brian Tappert, Soulfuric Recordings has two other sub-labels, Soulfuric Deep and Soulfuric Trax. Launched in 1996 Soulfuric has released some major Underground Vocal House hits such as Love Don’t Live by Michael Procter or the legendary Testify by Urban Blues Project Featuring Jay Williams. Featured in Daft Punk‘s radio shows, or played by club deejays, everybody praised those songs because they were simply the best transition between mainstream hits and Underground House sets.

The first time we heard about Soufuric was in 1997 on Radio NRJ when Bibi and Sami Dee had their weeky Soulful House show on saturday. This program entitled BETTER DAYS was incredible and those two deejays played the best music that happened at this time. Alongside the latest Blaze, Kerri Chandler, Johnick or Masters At Work, just to name a few, they played all the Soulfuric releases. The Better Days era was a fantastic time of music discovery for us that led to what we are now and Urban Blues Project, Jamie Lewis, hardSoul or those early Copyright tunes are simply in the soundtrack of our childhood.

Music has changed a lot from 1997 until now, but the sound of those early Soulfuric records is still punchy, groovy, soulful and extremely well produced. You will discover it by yourself. Let’s rock the House!
