Launched in 2000 by PHIL WEEKS, ROBSOUL RECORDINGS was first thought as a personal playground where he would be able to release his own work.
During his teenage in the mid 90s Phil started mixing and producing in PARIS. He was influenced by theUS HOUSE Scene and its main actors, and overall, the CHICAGO HOUSE Scene. To define his sound, he makes PARISIAN CHICAGO HOUSE :)
As his popularity increased and his network got wider, connections were made to invite his influencers and worldwide respected artists on his label. Thus ROBSOUL released tracks from artists amongst who we find DJ SNEAK, DERRICK CARTER, MARK FARINA , HECTOR MORALES, MONOMAN… to name a few :)
We can also add that PHIL has always also been very concerned about his A&R role at ROBSOUL. He tries to discover and also feature new up and coming independent producers to carry on the original vibe of his project and legacy.
